Otto / Indoor Companion Camera / Unit 01
You Left.
He Didn't.

Otto stands watch on the shelf while you're gone. 355° head, dual-axis tilt, night vision, and a voice you can borrow from anywhere. Every other indoor camera is a black plastic eyeball you hide behind a plant. This one gets asked about.

Four Things Nobody Else Can Copy
Cute Was
The Easy Part.
01 / 04
The Head Is The Gimbal

No bolt-on turret, no second camera in the corner. Otto's whole skull rotates 355° and tilts on two axes, so one unit covers the room end to end. Blind spots are a hardware problem. He doesn't have the hardware for them.

02 / 04
A Lens That Looks Away

Privacy Mode physically turns the eye off the room. Not a setting buried in a menu you have to trust — a position you can confirm from the couch. When you're home, he minds his business.

03 / 04
He Talks Back

Two-way audio, both directions, no lag games. Say the dog's name from three time zones out and watch the ears go up. Tell the sitter where the spare key is. Sing the bedtime song from an airport gate.

04 / 04
He Earns The Shelf Space

Gloss-black visor, chrome lens ring, satin white shell, tight panel gaps. The only security camera anyone has ever picked up and asked about. Guests hold it. Kids name it. Nobody hides it.

One tap and the lens turns away from the room. You don't have to take a privacy policy's word for it — you can look across the couch and see where his eye is pointed.

He's There.
01
Plug Him In

Set him on a shelf or nightstand. No drilling, no bracket, no landlord conversation.

02
Scan The Code

Open the app, scan, join your 2.4GHz network. The blue crown light goes solid when he's on.

03
Walk Out The Door

Pull up the live feed from anywhere. Sweep the room, talk, listen, check the dog. Done.

The Questions You Were Going To Ask Anyway
Straight
Answers.
Be honest — is this a toy or a real camera?
A real camera wearing a better costume. The optics, the 355° motorized head, infrared night vision, two-way audio and motion alerts are the same class of hardware you'd get in a generic black dome cam. The difference is the shell, not the spec sheet. Kids love him — that's a side effect, not the product.
Won't the arms and legs snap off?
The arms, legs and boots are static structural shell — they don't move and aren't motorized, so there's no gearbox in a limb waiting to strip. The only moving part on the unit is the head. Fewer motors, fewer things to break.
Who else can see my feed?
Your feed is tied to your account and your encrypted connection — you and the people you deliberately invite. Nobody at the other end is browsing living rooms for entertainment. And when you want him off duty, Privacy Mode turns the lens away from the room — a position you verify with your own eyes instead of a policy page.
Is there a monthly fee?
Live viewing, pan and tilt control, two-way audio and motion alerts work out of the box with no subscription required. Optional cloud storage exists if you want long-term recorded history, but the core camera isn't held hostage behind a paywall. Full plan details show in the app before you agree to anything.
My router is 5GHz. Is 2.4GHz a downgrade?
For a camera, no — it's the right call. 2.4GHz travels further and punches through walls better, which is exactly what you want from a device in a back bedroom two floors from the router. Nearly every dual-band router broadcasts a 2.4GHz network alongside the 5GHz one; you just pick that one during setup.
Can he actually see in the dark?
Yes. Infrared night vision kicks in automatically when the light drops, so a pitch-black nursery or hallway still gives you a usable picture — no lamp left on, nobody woken up. See Fig. 05 above for unedited low-light footage.
Where does the footage go?
Live viewing streams straight to your phone. For saved clips you have both local storage on the unit and optional cloud history, so you're not forced into one or the other. Exact capacity and current plan options are on the product spec and inside the app.
How fast does he ship, and what if I don't like him?
In-stock units leave the warehouse within 24 hours with free shipping, and tracking hits your inbox the moment he's moving. If he doesn't earn his shelf space, you have 30 days to send him back for a full refund — no restocking fee, no interrogation. Delivery windows for your region show at checkout.
